I loved this display in the kitchen of Pittock Mansion in Portland. My eye first saw the stack of plates, then my eye was next drawn to the sink with the other items. There was no flash allowed -- there was a light fixture behind the plates and by simply moving my body I was able to backlight the object of focus without getting the bright light in the picture. I had to crop the top a bit so the hardware of the light fixture wasn't in the photo.
f/5, 1/50, no flash

I love this photo, I like the light behind the plates creating shadows and definition. Very nice!!!! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture, it evokes the emotion of being overwhelmed by cleaning up which often occurs during the holidays. Also, makes me wonder how they got the stack to stay "stacked".
