2011 Tumwater Hill by Evelyn

This is a city bus light trail passing through the street. F36, 1 sec, 140mm

Crap, it was a cold, windy, rainy morning... but Terri and I were committed to execute our mission. Ready to roll at 8 a.m., ready to leave at 9 a.m. I love field trips and the way we learn from each other... the best part was just being out there figuring stuff out on the fly.. rain sleeves, timers, exposures, apertures, shutter speeds... all while fingers are frozen stiff. Yea, love it! well, sorta...

Henry's spot, taken from another angle... "Wait until a better day Henry, I know the spot!"

It was a cold, wet, blustery morning. Mt. Rainier was nowhere in sight, but the capitol was visible. Despite the cold, Evelyn and I had a fun time shooting in the rain. We both learned how to deploy our rain-sleeves (and oh what invaluable and inexpensive items those are!).

Had to defrost ourselves at Barnes & Noble with Hot tea and coffee, browsed through photo books at the bookstore and then tried out some lenses and pestered the guy at Kits cameras with our questions. It was a very good morning!
